Peppers and more peppers

This week brought us an abundance of jalapeno and banana peppers along with the usual okra and a surprise picking of green beans.( I thought they were finished but the cooler weather obviously helped.)
We're used to an abundance of jalapenos at this time of the year. Last year, we made jelly, froze poppers and made hot pepper sauce but still had plenty. This year, I cut back from 18 plants to 9 but it appears we'll still have more than we can use and they produce till first frost, which is at least 7-8 weeks away.
See pics below.

Garden update August 18

As you can tell, we are in a transition stage of growing between the heat of summer and the planting of Fall crops once we move into September/ We are still picking an abundance of Okra, jalapenos and banana peppers. We even picked some raspberries, surprise , and figs too.
For the Fall we will plant collards, carrots, Swiss chard, broccoli and probably cabbage.
I did plant pumpkins a while back and they are doing well too as you can see below. Hopefully these will produce in October.

Garden update August 4

The garden has slowed to a crawl with the exception of okra and jalapenos. We are still picking tomatoes, eggplant, banana and bell peppers, raspberries, figs, and green beans but in much smaller quantities. We did plant pumpkin and butternut squash and they are up and growing. It's almost time to start clearing, tilling and preparing for our Fall/Winter garden too.
